Jim set the cup down on the saucer with a crash, dark liquid splashing up over the rim.

Samantha stared at him, eyes red from crying. The revelation she’d made clearly causing her pain.

Jim didn’t care.

He leaned in close to make sure she could hear over the rumbling noise of the other patrons in the small café.

“I can’t believe you.” He hissed.
